POWER – People Organizing for Worker Empowerment & Respect

POWER – People Organizing for Worker Empowerment & Respect

(formerly Worker Justice Group)

POWER – People Organizing For Worker Empowerment & Respect is a community-based, grassroots workers’ center where low-wage workers join together to defend and expand their rights, build power, solidarity, and self-determination. We link workers’ immediate needs for help with workplace injustices to an organizing model and participatory membership in the organization. Through advocacy, leadership development, and political education we empower, educate, and mobilize workers to expose exploitation and win improvements. Our long term goal is to maximize workers’ voice in movements for social and economic justice.

  1. I volunteer as a Front Desk Manager and POWER was present at the CASH West Ave location Saturday. I just wanted to say it was pleasure to meet you. I support your organization. Are you open to visit sites other than CASH?
