Message from Colin O’Malley about Fair Elections

Thanks, Band of Rebels, for coming out Monday June 10th!  I think us showing our support for the Fair Elections bill showed our strength and hopefully will make an impact on Robach!  Robach has influence in the State Senate and swaying him will bring us one step closer to bringing the power to the people!
It is really important that we have “all hands on deck” for this week to show that New Yorkers want a voice in their government. Below are a couple events I hope I can see all of you at this week!
Online Take Action:
Go here to send an email to Joe Robach calling on him to support Fair Elections and Public financing:
Help us spread the word by sharing this link around to your friends and family on email, facebook, etc.
Wednesday, June 12th, TIME TBA
We will be carpooling to Syracuse to voice our support of Fair Elections with some Citizen Action Folks and Governor Cuomo.  We will be sending email updates as soon as we hear more information about when and where the event will take place.  If you know of anyone who would be interested, forward us their information! Let us know if you’re free to attend tomorrow.
Thursday, June 13th from 3-5 pm in the Metro Justice Office
Phonebanking for Fair Elections we will be calling MJ members who Senator Joe Robach’s constituents and urging them to tell Robach that THE PEOPLE NEED A VOICE IN THEIR GOVERNMENT!
Saturday, June 15th at 9 am
Call into WDKX and tell Robach that we want Fair Elections Now! The more who call in, the more it’s apparent that Fair Elections is the issue that is important to the people!  If you are interested, email Colin for more details!
Sunday, June 16th, 10am to 1pm at the Brighton Farmer’s Market (1150 S Winton Rd in the Brighton High School Parking Lot)
At the Market we will be handing out fake 2 dollar bills (the cost of Fair Elections on a New Yorker each year) with Sen Joe Robach’s phone district number on the back.  Our hope is to get Market attendees to call Robach on the spot and tell him to vote yes on Fair Elections!
