Band of Rebels Meeting

A number of Rebels met Monday, Nov. 26th to discuss our strategy for the near future. We decided to oppose any cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid that are proposed by Congress or the President. We do not accept the so called “grand bargain” that trades cuts in these essential programs in exchange for minimal tax increases on the wealthy.

Two committees were formed. The Long Term Planning Committee that will consider our current strategy, evaluate its success, and propose changes as needed. This committee will communicate its ideas via the email listserv, the website, and the Facebook page so that everyone will be informed and can contribute ideas. In six weeks or two months we will have another organizational meeting during our regular Monday demonstration hour.
